LINES OF RESEARCH
1 - INTERDISCIPLINARY EVALUATION OF PRODUCTS, SERVICES AND ENVIRONMENT REGARDING HEALTH SURVEILLANCE
The objective of this line of research is to demonstrate that the sanitary politics, concepts and methodologies - with the interdisciplinary knowledge of physical-chemistry, pharmaco-toxicology and molecular biology – integrate the Quality Control of Products as part of the Public Health System.
2 - IMPACTS OF CONTAMINANTS, POLUENTS ANS RESIDUES ON THE POPULATIONS HEALTH
The importance of this line of research is the possibility of enabling professionals to make critical analysis and efficient proposals regarding products and environment contaminations (chemical and biological), and to have a global and interdisciplinary vision of the Sanitary System, its legislations and its conceptual and epidemiological bases.

OTHER INFORMATION
The Stricto sensu Graduate Program in Sanitary Surveillance requires for completion of the Master’s Program a minimum of 24 credits and for completion of the Doctorate Program a minimum of 40 credits. The following subjects are mandatory for area of concentration: Sanitary Surveillance, Statistic and Health Law.
The students are also encouraged to participate in the weekly scientific event organized by INCQS in order to expose the students to multidisciplinary subjects and to allow their interaction with our scientific community.
Students who have a Master’s degree obtained in courses accredited by Capes can validate up to 20 credits. Students who have attended the mandatory subjects during the PPGVS Master’s program do not need to attend them again during the doctorate.
